Southwestern Libraries is the home of over a million resources for students, faculty, and alumni. Our system includes the A. Webb Roberts Library, the Kathryn Sullivan Bowld Music Library, and the Southwestern Archives. Research facilities are available on campus, and a wide range of digital resources provide ready access to students, whether distance learning or serving in ministry assignments.

The A. Webb Roberts Library is the main research facility. It provides quality services that enrich the Seminary and College curricula while securing and preserving information resources for the benefit of the Seminary community. The physical collection maintains over 21 miles of books as well as newspapers, audio/visual materials, dissertations, and special collections. In addition, collaborative and individual study spaces and a fully equipped technology lab are available.

Bowld Music Library

Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Kathryn Sullivan Bowld Music Library maintains over 30,000 books, 20,000 recordings, 200,000 octavos, and 100,000 scores. Bowld Library serves the programs of the School of Church Music and Worship, meets the performance needs of the School, and supports faculty and students in their preparation for work in ministry.

SWBTS Archives

The SWBTS Archives holds over 500,000 items, including historical papers, primary documents, rare books, and museum artifacts. Access to these materials is available by appointment through the Roberts Library.
