
Connecting your Mac OSX Computer to the “Students” wireless network. The machine used here was running Mac OSX 10.4.8. Other versions of Mac OSX should work fine with only slight variations in setup. Please contact the help desk with any questions at ext. 2660.

Navigate to the Apple menu in the top left hand corner of the screen and click on “System Preferences.”

Within the System Preferences menu click on “Network” under the Internet and Network category.

Within the Network menu, click on “Configure” while the AirPort is highlighted.

Click the “+” button inside the AirPort Configuration menu to add a new network. You may need to select “Preferred Networks” from the drop-down menu shown below.

Fill in the fields with the information provided above. For the username and password, use those provided for your elearning email account.

Click OK and ensure that “Students” is at the top of your preferred networks and click “Apply Now.”

Click the AirPort drop-down menu on your top menu bar and make sure that “Students” is checked.

After connecting to the network you may be prompted for you username and password again. Enter the information as mentioned above. Also, click “Continue” on the Certificate Verification box that appears.

After this you should be able to open your internet browser (ie. Safari, Firefox, etc.) and you should be able to go directly to a website without a redirect webpage. If one does appear, verify that you are connected to the “Students” network.
