Harvey E. Solganick, Ph.D. in Humanities, Philosophy, and Rhetoric, The University of Texas at Arlington., M.L.A. in Liberal Arts, S.M.U.; M.Ed. in Education, The University of North Texas; Cert. Oberstufe, Cert. Mittelstufe, in German Culture, Heidelberg University, Goethe Institute; Cert. Biblical Studies, Dallas Theological Seminary; teaches Humanities courses at The College at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has also taught Philosophy and English, both in the traditional undergraduate program in The School of Arts and Sciences, and as a Master Faculty in the Graduate and Professional Studies (GAPS) division, at LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas. Previously, he was professor of English, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and coordinator of the Honors Capstone Program at Missouri College, St. Louis. Administratively, Dr. Solganick was a former Division Chair of Communications within the Dallas County Community College District and was the originating, founding Headmaster for Prestonwood Academy of Dallas. Born in Brooklyn, New York, his parents were Russian and Rumanian Jews, who immigrated to America in 1914. Dr. Solganick’s spouse, Elaine, formerly served as a professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Texas A&M University—Commerce, and taught Sociology at Brookhaven College, Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Solganick’s further studies include certification in German Language and Culture, at The University of Heidelberg, and at Goethe Institute, Germany; Humanities Fellow at Cornell University; Master of Liberal Arts, S.M.U., Dallas; and Master of Education, The University of North Texas, Denton. He has traveled and lectured though Germany, Sweden, Russia, and China.
