REQUIREMENTS AT SEMINARY:

Fill out a Nehemiah “Information Form” and turn into the Nehemiah Office. (These forms are available in F-206).
- Complete the online Seminary Student Intern (SSI) application accessed via email from the North American Mission Board (NAMB). The application has four parts:
- online application;
- spouse’s online application;
- written materials (emailed to NAMB); and
- references.
- Have a Church Planter Assessment with an approved assessor.
- Take two courses:
- MISSN 4393 – Intro to Church Planting,
- MISSN 5353 – Models of Church Planting
- Fulfill a 13-week paid internship at a current church plant. This is paid for by NAMB.
- Complete a final interview with NAMB your final semester at seminary and pass for approval.
- While applying for employment after approval, you may represent yourself to State Baptist agencies as an approved Nehemiah planter ready for deployment.
REQUIREMENTS ON THE FIELD:
2 years in a church plant.
OUR COMMITMENT TO THE CHURCH PLANTER:
- Attendance at Basic Training, a 3-day seminary to coach you in developing a master plan for the church plant.
- A veteran church planter to coach you during your first two years.
- A Peer Mentoring Group of other church planters.
- Financial Support (for Appointed and part-time Nehemiah positions)
