What does a church need to do to get a student preacher? The first thing the church needs to do is to apply online indicating they wish to participate in the SREP.
What does the church need to do to get ready for revival? Preparation is spiritual and organizational. A church should prepare spiritually by humbly seeking the Lord and praying for Him to send revival. Churches should prepare organizationally by reviewing the materials provided in the Comprehensive and Abridged Church Revival Preparation Manuals. These resources, written by the North American Mission Board, guide churches through the process of planning for and hosting revival meetings. What if our church is not able to host a revival in March? If your church cannot host a student in March, churches are being given the option of an alternate date of May 16-19 or May 23-26, 2010.
What if after our church has agreed to host a revival we must cancel? Churches may choose to cancel their revival. However, airline tickets are often purchased two or three months in advance. In the unlikely event that your church finds it necessary to cancel the revival meeting after January 18, 2010 for March meetings, or February 22, 2010 for May meetings, your church agrees to reimburse SWBTS for the cost of the airline ticket which may have been purchased for the student to travel to your church.
Does our church have to apply through this website? Using this online application is the preferred method for completing the application. However we do understand that there are circumstances where this may not be possible or expedient. In such cases we are more than happy to assist those in need.
