Who We Are:

Southwestern Assoc. of Christian Counselors is an official student chapter of the American Assoc. of Christian Counselors (AACC).  Please visit www.aacc.net for further information regarding AACC membership.  You can check out our SACC Facebook group by going to Search Student Groups – Academic Groups.

Mission Statement

Our purpose is to be a link between our students and the professional community.  Additionally we desire to assist our students from their first semester to their last.  We want to help prepare them for all facets of student and eventually professional life.  We desire to promote fellowship among students by providing social gatherings.  We want to enhance professionalism by inviting guest speakers to keep students abreast of changes and opportunities in the field of Christian Counseling.  As such, we want to encourage our students to seek and walk with Christ in every facet of their professional and personal life.

Membership Incentives

  • Resource information regarding local and national jobs/employment opportunities, licensure requirements etc.

  • Free Brown Bag lunches (lunch not included) which bring guest speakers from the professional community and church to speak on current and exciting topics dealing with Christian life and Counseling
  • Mentorship Program (opportunities to mentor and/or be mentored)

Becoming a Member

  • Membership applications can be picked up and/or dropped off at Walsh Counseling Center
  • Membership Fee:
    • $6 per semester
    • $12 for the entire year
