At the close of each semester, a week is given for written examinations. Students are required to take the examination as scheduled. If an approved alternative is substituted for a final examination, the class will still meet at the scheduled time for meaningful instruction.
Students who are unavoidably prevented from taking final examinations at the appointed time due to emergencies, such as illness or a death in the family, are entitled to make up a final examination. Arrangements for this examination must be made with the professor and must be completed by the third week of the following semester.
In the rare occurrence that two exams are scheduled at the same time, students will work with their professors to reschedule one of their exams.
