The purpose for the overall conference is twofold:
  • To assist pastors and church leaders in the field of family ministry in: (1) developing a vision of a comprehensive family ministry for their churches; and (2) equipping them with knowledge, skills, and practical tools for leading a relevant and effective 21st century family ministry in the local church.
  • To provide a forum for church leaders in the field of family ministry and Christian education to share their knowledge, experience and to learn from each other.

Dr. Richard Ross

Dr. Richard Ross, SWBTS - The Vision for Family Ministry for Local Churches


Richard Ross is husband to LaJuana, who has joined him in a lifetime of loving teenagers. They are parents of college student Clayton. Richard served as youth minister for thirty years and now is a volunteer with teenagers and parents at Wedgwood Baptist in Fort Worth. Richard is professor to the next generation of youth ministers at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. Since its inception, Richard has served as the spokesperson for the international True Love Waits movement.

Bryan Haynes

Brian Haynes, Associate Pastor, Kingsland Baptist Church, Katy, Texas - How to Start and Lead Family Ministry in the Local Church


Brian serves as Associate Pastor at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas overseeing spiritual formation. Brian is the creator of the Legacy Milestones strategy designed to inseparably link church and home to equip the generations. He is the author of the new book, Shift: What it Takes to finally reach families today. Brian is married to his high school sweetheart Angela and they have three daughters, Hailey, Madelyn, and Eden. Brian is a graduate of Baylor University, Southwestern Seminary, and Liberty Theological Seminary where he earned a Doctor of Ministry for his work in discipleship and family ministry.

Hope For The Heart Founder and CSO June Hunt is a dynamic Christian leader whose life work has yielded landmark contributions in the field of Christian counseling. An author, singer and speaker, she founded Hope For The Heart in 1986. Since then, the ministry has offered hope and help through biblically-based counsel and encouragement to people in more than 60 countries.
