This is both a Seminary course for academic credit and a conference for a certificate of completion. It is a review of courses and programs focusing on ministries in the Hispanic Culture. The location is Fleming Hall, Room 22. The course/conference schedule is 1:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, and then 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday, May 20-23. Those wishing to enroll for academic credit must contact the SWBTS Registrar's Office. Those wishing to complete it as a conference may do so by clicking on the "Register Now" above. The cost for the conference is $150.

- Chronological Bible Storying

The Chronological Bible Storying Conference will equip participants with the skills to communicate the Bible more effectively as they make disciples of all people groups. This conference teaches the why, what, and how of Bible Storying. Participants develop sets of Bible stories for their particular ministry. They learn to use Bible Storying for evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and leadership training. Participants receive take-away resources in print and electronic format. The schedule for Monday is 1:00-5:00 p.m. On Tuesday-Friday, the schedule is 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.The cost for this conference is $175.

SBTC Statewide Collegiate Discipleship & Leadership Conference

This conference has been uniquely designed to help nurture students as leaders and enable them to lead more effectively. Image '08 will provide powerful biblical tools for students to take back to their local churches helping them grow in their faith and develop other believers.

Certificate levels 1, 2, and 3 in Biblical Counseling: Levels 1 and 2 training will be offered in the Fall 2008 semester on three separate weekends, September 5-6, October 10-11, and November 7-8. The cost for all three sessions of a level is $250, which includes materials and refreshment breaks. Level 3 training will be only one weekend on August 8-9. The cost of Level 3 is $160. The courses will be led by Dr. John Babler and Dr. David Penley. Classes will meet Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Level 1 must be completed before taking level 2 courses. Levels 1 and 2 must be completed before taking level 3 courses.

In a day when technology and business hold masses of individuals indoors underneath artificial lights, studies show that more than 49 million people in the United States have broken free to recreate in the outdoors. Outdoor ministry is an exciting way to reach people for Christ, connecting them with the Creator and exposing them to the light of the world. This conference will help pastors, lay leaders, camp and ministry staff, or anyone else who would like to explore the numerous ways to touch those lives in your community who have an attraction to God's creation and need a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Early registration for the conference is $65 for regular registration and $35 for students through August 8. After August 8, the registration is $85 for regular registration and $55 for students. The cost of the conference includes a DVD teaching series, 180-page training manual, DVD tract, God's Great Outdoors Field Team Kit, and other outdoor outreach evangelistic ministry items.
Testimonies from professional sportsmen will include David Morris, Hank Parker, Pam Martin-Wells, and Alton Jones. Workshop speakers include Gerry Caillouet, Dr. Bill Brown, Dr. Tom Rakow, William Johnson, Kevin Teveldal, Toni Mattson, Dr. Jim Reimer, Kris Grimes, Mike McArthur, and Dan Field.
