FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) -- This fall, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary professor John Laing will trade in his academic regalia for a military uniform. He will join approximately 3,600 citizen-soldiers in the 72nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team as part of the largest Texas Army National Guard deployment since World War II. more »

Southwestern breaks ground on new chapel

FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS)—Harold Riley saw firsthand what sacrifice for the service of the Lord looks like. His father, Ray Riley, left a steady job as an oil field foreman in the panhandle of Texas because the Lord called him to ministry. This journey required theological education, which eventually brought the family to Fort Worth, Texas, to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. more »

Wheelchair ramp added to Price Hall

FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary held a ribbon cutting in honor of Robert Mathis, professor of administration in the School of Church and Family Ministries, marking the newest wheelchair accessibility ramp to Price Hall, Nov. 6. Although the building was already wheelchair accessible, the new ramp, located on the West side of Price Hall, is at the closest entrance from the parking lot. more »
