Fall chapel speakers announced

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary announced its lineup of chapel speakers for the fall semester. It includes the recently-elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention, a former child actor-turned evangelist, evangelical leaders with ministries that span the globe from Korea to Romania, and leading scholars and preachers from all over the United States.

“We are excited about the quality of chapel speakers this semester,” Thomas White, interim vice president of student services, said. “It is our prayer that not only will the seminary community be blessed and enriched by these speakers, but that people in the Fort Worth-Dallas community will also come and hear some of them and be richer for it.”

The chapel speakers are as follows:

Aug. 24: Dr. Paige Patterson, President of Southwestern Seminary.

Aug. 29: Rev. W. Dwight McKissic, Senior Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas.

Aug. 30: Dr. Mark Howell, Pastor at Houston Northwest Church, Houston, Texas.

Aug. 31: Dr. Donald Sunukjian, professor of Christian ministry, leadership and homiletics, Biola University, Calif.

Sept. 5: J. Shelby Sharpe, Esq., Attorney, Fort Worth, Texas.

Sept. 6: Dr. Forrest Pollock, pastor at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, Brandon, Fla.

Sept. 7: Dr. Junior Hill, evangelist, Hartselle, Ala.

Chapel services are held in Truett Auditorium on the campus of Southwestern Seminary at 10:50 a.m. for one hour every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the fall and spring semesters.
