
Anabaptism & Contemporary Baptists Conference
The Anabaptism & Contemporary Baptists conference will explore the connections between the Radical Reformation and current Baptist movements and theology. Early registration is $50 through January 16 and increases to $75 after January 16. Student registration is $25 (includes meal) or $15 (no meal).

Abraham Friesen served since 1967 at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he is professor of history emeritus. An expert on Reformation and Anabaptist history, he has written many books and articles in the field, including In Defense of Privilege: Russian Mennonites and the State Before and During World War I, History and Renewal in the Anabaptist/Mennonite Tradition and Erasmus, the Anabaptists, and the Great Commission. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University. |

Rick Warren serves as pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. He also leads the Purpose Driven Network of churches, a global coalition of congregations in 162 countries. He is the author of the best-sellers The Purpose Driven Church and The Purpose Driven Life. As a theologian, Dr. Warren has lectured at Oxford, Cambridge, the University of Judaism, the Evangelical Theological Society, and numerous seminaries and universities. Malcolm Yarnell serves as associate professor of Systematic Theology at Southwestern Seminary and holds a doctorate in philosophy from Oxford University. He is editor of the Southwestern Journal of Theology and of BaptistTheology.org. He and his wife, Karen, serve at Birchman Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, and have five children. |

Paige Patterson earned his Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as the President of The Criswell College 1975-1992 and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary 1992-2003. He currently serves as the President of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His experience also includes a number of years serving as pastor. Emir Caner serves as President of Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, GA. He earned a B.A. from Criswell College, an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington, writing his dissertation on Balthasar Hubmaier. A prolific writer, Dr. Caner has written or contributed to 18 books about various topics, including Islam, persecution, religious liberty, ecclesiology, Baptist history, and apologetics.
